What We Produce

Refined Fuels for the Gulf Market

AFK Petroleum FZC is engaged in the production, storage, and distribution of a full range of refined petroleum products, processed from condensate feedstock at our Hamriyah Free Zone refinery. Our slate is concentrated in the segments delivering the strongest refining margins and highest domestic demand.

Naphtha — condensate refining
Primary Product

Naphtha

Light Distillate · C₅–C₁₂ Hydrocarbons

Naphtha is one of AFK's flagship refined outputs, produced directly from the distillation of condensate feedstock. A versatile light distillate, naphtha commands consistent demand as a petrochemical feedstock and is a critical component in gasoline blending across the Gulf and broader export markets.

Light naphtha fractions serve as direct inputs for ethylene and propylene cracker units, while full-range naphtha is widely used in reforming processes to produce higher-octane gasoline components. AFK's condensate configuration is specifically optimised to maximise naphtha yield.

Diesel — road transport and industrial fuel
Core Off-Take

Diesel / Gasoil

Middle Distillate · Gas Oil

Diesel (gasoil) represents the primary product category covered by AFK's secured expressions of interest from off-take partners. It is the highest-volume refined fuel in the UAE domestic market, underpinning road freight, construction, logistics, and heavy industrial activity across the region.

AFK's refinery is configured to produce gasoil meeting commercial grade specifications for the UAE market. The proximity of our Hamriyah Free Zone facility to major domestic consumers ensures competitive logistics and reliable delivery across the Emirates.

Kerosene — aviation jet fuel
Growth Segment

Kerosene / Jet Fuel

Middle Distillate · Jet A-1 Grade

Kerosene is a structurally high-demand product driven by the rapid recovery and sustained growth of commercial aviation across the Gulf. With the UAE serving as one of the world's busiest aviation hubs, demand for Jet A-1 compliant kerosene continues to expand strongly.

Beyond aviation, kerosene serves as a domestic heating and cooking fuel in several regional markets, as well as an industrial solvent and turbine fuel for smaller power applications. AFK's condensate configuration naturally yields kerosene fractions suitable for blending and upgrading to aviation specification.

Gasoline — motor fuel
Domestic Market

Gasoline

Light Distillate · Motor Spirit

Gasoline (motor spirit) is a refined petroleum product derived from the lighter fractions of AFK's condensate processing output. It fuels one of the largest passenger vehicle fleets in the Gulf region, with consistent demand driven by strong UAE consumer vehicle ownership and growing transportation needs.

AFK supplies gasoline to meet domestic commercial grade requirements, complementing our diesel and naphtha output streams. The UAE's price-stable, subsidy-managed retail fuel environment provides predictable offtake visibility for domestic gasoline supply partners.

Oil Sludge & Residue

Refinery Residue · Heavy Fraction

Oil sludge and refinery residue represent the heavier bottom fractions from AFK's condensate processing operations. Rather than treating these as a waste stream, AFK positions residue products as a commercially viable output with established end-user markets in the region.

Residue products find application as industrial fuel substitutes, bitumen blending components in road construction, and as inputs for secondary refinery operations. AFK's approach to residue management reflects our commitment to operational efficiency and maximising the value extracted from every barrel of feedstock processed.

Storage & Distribution

Beyond refining, AFK Petroleum provides bulk petroleum storage and distribution services, leveraging our 32,000 m³ on-site capacity and strategic location within the Hamriyah Free Zone.

01

Bulk Storage

Two dedicated tank farms housing 24 individual tanks provide up to 32,000 m³ of segregated storage capacity for both feedstock and finished products. Our infrastructure supports third-party storage arrangements for qualified commercial counterparties.

02

Domestic Distribution

Refined products are distributed to UAE domestic buyers through an established local trucking and storage network. Our Hamriyah location provides excellent road access to all Emirates, enabling timely and cost-efficient delivery without dependence on maritime export routes.

03

Product Off-Take Arrangements

AFK actively structures commercial off-take arrangements with qualified buyers across all product categories. Our team works closely with counterparties to agree volume, specification, pricing mechanics, and delivery terms suited to their operational requirements.

04

Feedstock Supply Partnerships

We engage with UAE-based condensate producers, regional suppliers from Saudi Arabia and Iraq, and international trading houses to maintain a diversified, resilient feedstock supply chain. Interested suppliers are invited to contact us to discuss commercial arrangements.

Built for the Gulf's Highest-Margin Segments

AFK Petroleum's condensate-based product slate aligns directly with the most in-demand refined fuel categories in the Gulf. Diesel and kerosene demand continues to grow, and condensate refineries tend to outperform simpler facilities during market disruptions.

With limited new refining capacity coming online globally due to ESG pressures and high capital costs, AFK's operational timing positions it to capture strong margin cycles driven by structural supply tightness.

Condensate feedstock may also trade at discounts relative to crude oil, providing a natural pricing advantage that supports margins across a range of market conditions.
